The Professional Services Development Assistance Scheme

The development of the information technology (IT) industry is a key to Hong Kong's position as a world centre of business and has brought innovations to many sectors. The stable supply of quality IT manpower with up-to-date technology know-how is essential for the IT industry development as well as Hong Kong economy as a whole. Local IT consultant companies usually lack funding or do not have the means to upgrade their staff with latest technologies and industrial best practices in an economical way. To facilitate those companies upgrading their workforce as well as to enhance the competitiveness of local IT consultants for their career development in the industry, we received funding from PSDAS to organize a conference and series of training courses that are tailored for them. The conference and workshops are technology oriented for transferring cutting edge knowledge of Web 2.0, Mobile 2.0, and open source software to the local IT consultants and professionals for increasing their competitiveness.

We acknowledge Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for the funding support through the Professional Services Development Assistance Scheme (PSDAS).
